Intermediate level - 8-week class DEADLINE TO REGISTER: DECEMBER 30, 2024 This class is for students who have successfully completed Introduction to Wheel Throwing (or with permission from the instructor). Students must be comfortable wedging, centering, pulling up, and shaping a clay cylinder on the pottery wheel. Students must also have the ability to clean up their area after use and the willingness to maintain the NAC studio and equipment in excellent order. In this class, students will continue their clay journey of shaping clay into different forms and shapes of various sizes and styles, in addition to much more. Students will participate in group critiques to learn from each other. *One 25-pound of clay is included in the class fee. Students should bring their own pottery tools (kits are available for purchase at the Newberry Arts Center), a towel, an apron or old shirt, and a notebook for taking notes. Tools needed: - needle tool - wire tool - tack sponge or pottery-making sponge - trimming tools *NAC has beginner tool kits available to purchase. Please stop by the Artisan Shop at 1200 Main Street during business hours to purchase. ***We ask that you help us keep the air we share healthy and fragrance-free by not wearing perfume, cologne, aftershave, scented lotions or other fragrances while taking a class or workshop. The chemicals used in scented products can make some people sick, especially those with fragrance sensitivities, asthma, allergies and other medical conditions

Cancellation Policy
Class Cancellation & Refund Policy We understand that life brings surprises to us all, and sometimes people must cancel their class reservation. Seating is limited and we may have people on the waiting list for the class. Please be considerate and let us know as soon as possible if you need to change your plans. Help us continue to offer these wonderful classes, at the most affordable costs possible, by reading and adhering to our cancellation, refund and transfer policies. Please note that under no circumstances will NAC prorate any classes, camps or workshops. Cancellation Policy Classes and Workshops: NAC cancels classes when enrollment minimums are not reached. Cancellations are determined no later than 2 business days before the class starts. One Day/Evening Workshops & Events: These 3-hour workshops or events are cancelled when enrollment minimums are not reached. Cancellations are determined no later than 1 business days before the class starts. Kids & Teens Summer Camps: NAC cancels camps when enrollment minimums are not reached. Cancellations are determined no later than 4 business days before the camp starts. Refund Policy Full refunds are given for any class, workshop or event if the class is cancelled by NAC. Cancellations occur when the enrollment does not reach the minimum enrollment. If a student chooses to withdraw from a class, workshop or event, prior to the start date, the refund policy is as follows: Classes and Workshops • 100% refund with 4 or more days notice prior to start date of the class. • 50% refund with 3 or more days notice to start date of the class. • No refunds will be granted after the start of the class or workshop. Camps • 100% refunds with 7 or more days notice. • If a camper is not available for an entire week of camp, we highly recommend that the parents choose another week. Camps are designed to be a week-long learning experiences and projects are not designed to be completed on a day-by-day basis. Transfers • In place of refunds, transfers may be made to another class, or gift certificates may be issued to be used in the future toward classes, workshops and camps.
